Ur Hasse Alfredsons inledning till boken "Svea Hunds Limerickar" har vi tagit oss friheten låna
några, en smula vågade, limerickar på originalspråket.

                                              THE LIMERICKS MOTTO

                                     The limerick´s an art form complex
                                     whose contents run chiefly to sex;
                                     It´s famous for virgins
                                     And masculine urgin´s
                                     And vulgar erotic effects.


                                 There was a young plumber of Leigh
                                 Who was plumbing a girl by the sea.
                                 She said "Stop your plumbing,
                                 There´s somebody coming!"
                                 Said the plumber, still plumbing, "It´s me!"


                                 There was a young girl of Aberystwyth
                                 Who took her grain to the mill to get grist with.
                                 The miller´s son, Jack,
                                 Laid her flat on her back
                                 And united the organs they pissed with.
